Seat length for 2up riding?

Looking down the road on when I get to make/fab up a seat for my bike. Looking to do a flat brat style seat. 95% of the time i will be riding solo so I was going to keep it short. But for the other 5%, I would be riding with me lady. We are both slender in shape (combined weight of like 260 lol)

The original seat on my bike is right around 24" in length. I found a couple of options for a removable cowl which looks really rad:

I love this idea; but what is the ideal length to have a 2up rider not fall off the back coming out of the driveway? Or what have you experienced to be the most ideal length? Or other ideas that would look super cool?

For another idea, avoid compromise and get a 2nd seat for 2-up that she is really comfortable on.

I have this seat from wwwairtechstreamlining.com and I did trim it down an inch once I received it. Using the full length it has enough room for 2 people. They make quality products and this fiberglass seat is very strong. It's the large Cutlass c1. There is also an upholstery pan that's optional.

The seatpan is 18 inches and overall is 27 inches.

Middle aged thick people need a GoldWing or an Ultra Classic. If you're young or otherwise avoided the middle age spread, 24 to 27 inches should do it.

After weeks of searching, measuring myself and my lady on the bike, It looks like 24.5" is the magic number that works. I settled on the 2 seat method; both from 4into1 as they are the same length and width, so I'm hoping the brackets line up well!

Good idea on the two seats. Seeing what you bought, I think it the only viable compromise.

I thought about buying a cowl to install when riding solo, but a whole seat at that price was a no brainer!

Has anyone tried these seats out? How is the comfort level??
