Thanks stroker crazy.

I've been checking your Ace Resource daily. It's great to see everyones builds, ideas and comments!

Earlier in the piece i read about the exhaust guide you had used.
Sonreir's Exhaust tips http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=39814.60
Especially the bit about the length required to make sure there is never zero "pulses" in the length of the pipe. Makes a lot of sense. Id suggest currently mine would barley have 1 pulse making it to the arse of the area of the Cat before fizzling out in the megaphone.
After taking the pipe off, it doesn't look like it would be too hard to have one fab'ed up. A bit longer, and maybe with some larger radii on the bends.
Being a draftsman and having a Dad who is wizard with all things stainless it shouldn't have taken so long.
If i get around to it ill up-load some specs so that others can get something similar fabricated locally.
Look forward to those spec's Jarrad The CAT's got to go!

Not much doing of late.

Finally got around to adding a side oval number plate that i had bought before i even got the bike.

Hi Jarrad, I cannot see the picture so I assume the link does not work.

So, another tiny update.

Added some numbers to the side race plate.
334 which my Dad used to race under, seen below giving it a bit.

Also, i wasn't having much luck with the Mikuni 22mm carb i bought. Was just real gutless. I had tried everything (jets/needle/air screw/different filters etc) So i bought a Molkt 26mm carb. It was the same one the OORacing sell, and that combined with the fact that it had an air screw that looked like you could actually get to it to adjust sealed the deal. Also it had a larger intake diameter, to which i could chuck on a small velocity stack. Win.
I thought all was lost during the tuning as it was reving real high with no response to adjusting the idle or air screw. Turns out it was just the throttle cable needed to be adjusted.
Additionally i learnt that if you loose a small screw on the ground, don't try looking aimlessly for it for half an hour, just kneel around on your knees. Sure enough it will embed itself in your knee cap in no time.

Yet to take it out to test as its decided to keep raining.

Next thing will hopefully to be removing the rear fender, relocate battery, and incorporate a round tail light into the seat like cafeenthusiast.

Still formulating my plans for performance upgrades. Just wondering what difference you get from running the Molkt and Velocity Stack vs the stock carb with upgraded jets?

I fitted a Molkt carb and stack but if I did it again and when I do my 250 I'm gonna spend the extra and get a genuine Jap Mikuni - lets face it they are the best! Plus you can get jets and stuff easy...the only problem here is that I can't say if the Molkt carb was an improvement over stock coz I never rode it! I think I'd also use a bigger bore coz the Molkt one still isn't massive....
