Sparck Reg/Rec - Coils - Elecronic Tach Connections

Switches are bought according to the bike's system. You just bought the wrong switch. K&S switches are already overpriced as it is. They'd be twice as much if you could choose your own adventure.

Oh well, I bought it years ago from xb33bsa (remember him?). It was a good switch, new, hell of a price, and does everything I need it to do except for the kill switch, so it'll do. Been buying parts for this thing for years, fortunately I won't have too many unsuitable parts left over when it's done so maybe my innocence, ignorance, and naivety over the years haven't messed things up too badly. We'll see.

All is not lost. Order a relay and wiring from Sonrier and ask him how to wire it up for that kill switch to work. You will need a 5 terminal relay so that it has a Normally Closed connection that you would wire into the ignition circuit. When you pull the Kill button, the relay will switch to OPEN and power to the ignition will be cut.

He's the electrical parts guy, so order from him and ask him how to wire it up- just to be sure.

Even an on/off toggle under your electronics tray will do. If you're running a key switch, you already have a kill switch. Having a second kill switch is not necessary.

Exactly what I've been saying. My habit is to use the key switch anyway so it's merely been a slightly OCD matter of "well, that switch is there, so it oughta' work." Ultimately it's not an issue.

Good suggestion, we'll see how it goes. Should the aforementioned OCD kick in and demand it that may happen. Usually, though, I carry things to a point then finally accept that "good enough is good enough." As stated in the build, the thing isn't being built as a showpiece and it's intended to be ridden so this little "wort" will just have to fit in with the other worts and skin tags that it has.
