Been Around the Block
I'm sure there is a thread somwhere that we can post cool bikes we've *spotted*, but I couldnt find it ???

This old girl is a 1979 cb400 with a whiskey bottle fuel gauge and what looks to be an all custom frame.

pretty neat! ;D

All custom frame? Looks like a stock frame with the rear section chopped off to me.

Than he chopped the front too. cuz there was diamond plate all over the head stock or I guess he could've just braced it? Not real familiar with the 400 frames and those shock mounts dont look factory?

Hence "What Looks To Be?" ;D

the louvered fender is an interesting choice. I guess if you want to ensure that road spray/dirt go straight into your face, that's one way to do it.

Love the chopper style bar risers... with the bars upside down

I second the  on the bars, why can't people just drop the 50 bucks on a set of clubmans, or even some low rise bars that don't look like ass...

I love it even with the dodgy bars, louvres, everything. I reckon it's an older chop but damn it's good.

Here's another I **spotted** outside the boat show here in Austin the other day.

This is what lots of ours would have looked like 20yrs ago..::)

Old thread im going to resurrect.
Cool bikes that could also fit in the inspiration thread. Will post there also.

Third pic is a cb550 that took best in show at the first Austin moto fest which was the same weekend as GP.

Looks like a GS to me. A CB550 doesn't have dual cams which that bike clearly has.

Definitely a GS - possibly an "L" model too judging by how the seat rails are relatively low in relation to the carbs / head.
