SR250 Rectifier Question

Hey guys/gals, posting here after searching for a while and not finding an answer. This is in regards to the 2 white wires coming from the stator to the rectifier, does it matter which one goes to which? If it does then I do believe I'm in a pickle as I think I cut the plug after my fire (see picture). So yeah, the only thing I'm wondering is if it's ok to mix the 2 wires. Thanks everyone.

Yup. It's OK to have either wire going to the R/R. It doesn't matter which white on the alternator goes to which white on the R/R, so long as one white goes to each.

I thought so Sonreir. Is it because they are providing AC at that point?

Well there you go! I thought that the poles were constantly reversing in this scenario. Also, with my faith in the Yamaha engineers, I don't think they would colour two wires the same if their orientation did matter

Ask RichArd about wire colors on his old yamaha.

The funny thing is that when I went to find that diagram... I found a different one that had the diodes pointing the wrong direction... and I thought I had a brain aneurysm.. the whole world did not make sense for a few minutes.
