STUNT BIKE - CB360

Not a lot to post except that it is running great. Thanks to djelliott for coming over and helping me figure out the carb problem.

I did have a velocity stack fall off (my fault for not tightening it after taking the carbs off for the 100th time). I heard it fall and before I could retrieve it, a car ran it over. I actually passed it the first time, I thought it was a flattened soda can.

I have a pair on order - a $30 mistake.

Only issue so far was the first (and only) time I rode at night, the battery died on me about 1 mile from home. I stopped at a light and the bike died. Turned off the headlight and it started back up, but then wanted to stall when stopping. I have to look into this, I have the two wires connected together and thought that I had the charging sorted.

Little nits to pick -
neutral light sometimes stays lit.
brakes need adjusting
Need a fork brace
odometer works, trip doesn't
Need to hook kill switch back up.

Holey moley, that's a bit of a transformation from the piece of crap you started out with.
I do think it needs a fork brace as you've listed to make the whole equation work properly.
Nice work matey.

NICE!
Here is the little bracket I made for sagging carbs, , look to the end of post...it went through a couple changes.

Hey Rusnak

Beautiful work, love the Nohlins shock! Where did you get it from and what length is it?

Are you running the stock CV carbs? How are they working out with no air filters? What jets did you end up running with?

Awesome bike

The Nohilns shock is a RFY eBay shock. I kept having people ask if it was Ohlins, so I had the Nohilns stickers for it made. They don't have great dampening, but I have the preload cranked up on them as well as the ride height. With the forks lowered, it gives it the look that I was after.

The carbs are stock, I went one size up on the main jet (can't remember what size that is). It runs well, but needs the choke left on slightly to run best (I would guess about 1/8th on).

Hey Man,

So I just got my Radiantz tail light. When you bent it, did you have to heat it up at all to get it more pliable? Mines pretty rigid and I'm not convinced that the double sided tape will stick to where I want to put it, which is on the seat hoop.

I bent mine cold, the tape is holding up well. clean the surface with alcohol and use spring clamps to hold it for a while so that it remembers the shape.

Wow!! Whata stunning 360!
I'm tipically not a fan of red frames.. But you really pulled it together. Great job man. Made me a fan! :)

Red frames rock.

But only on bikes with fender or fork braces..... Don't make me come down there (wherever "there" is) and hurt you. I don't want to do it, but if you won't fit a rear fender and fork brace, you will make me hurt you before you hurt yourself......

Gotta love the logic there ;-) But seriously, a small inner rear fender will help keep rocks and small children out of the stacks and brace will help to keep both wheels in line around corners.

I am a dumb-ass.
I put the bike up on Craigslist. I had someone come 3+ hours to look at it and the bastard bought it!
I miss it already.

My thought was to sell it to get money to build another bike, I didn't have time to ride it much last summer. I plan to have less this year, as we just bought dirt bikes for me, the wife and my 6 & 2 year olds. I have plans to make a track at the in-laws and spend some time in the dirt.

My next bike will be either a Bad Moto Guzzi, a bevel drive Ducati single, a air-cooled two stroke or maybe a dirt bike based bike like the XL600 that the Battlestar Galactica chick has.

I did get just under $5k for her, which is not too bad.

Damn gotta hate it when you get 5k for a 360. Horrible luck ;)

I know the feeling man when I helped load up my 350 when I sold it it was all I could do not to say "you know, never mind ill just keep it"
