Sumotrack rebuild

Still need to mount the magnet for the speed sensor but the brake is done, right brake mount is shaved and forks have new seals and bushings. Also a pic of the brake pads to show why I changed the rotor.

Picked up a cheap locked up motor. Mainly wanted the crank out of it. Got the pistons freed, torethe motor all the way down, split its crank and the spare crank. Modified one crank piece so that I can build up a true 270* motor. I don't know if it'll end up in this bike, orthe one in my shed.

270* crank is together and trued.

Today was definitely a monday. The waterjet at work didn't want to work. Then heading home I made it 1/4 mile out the gate and the yamaha had a master link fail. Inlaws picked me up, so I had to go back and get the bike with my truck. Luckily I had a new chain at home and got it installed. This time I safety wired the master link.

Made it to the DGR in OKC. No issues from the bike other than the idle backed itself down enough that I had to tweak it. It's averaging about 45mpg. Next weekend I'm pulling the clutch to do a new shift shaft, shifter seal, 1pc pushrod and pushrod seal. Hopefully that will fix the last slow leak I've been tracking down.

Did the new shift shaft, seal and 1pc pushrod. It needed to be opened up. The bolts on the high ratio primary gears had gotten a little loose, they got tightened and tack weld so they can't back off. Also the spring that pushes the estart gear out had failed and was just sitting unwound above the oil pump. Hopefully no more issues for a while.
