Suzuki 1976 GT750 no Title

I looking into buying a Suzuki GT750 from a friend who wants it gone. Here is what I know. There is no title, however if after the DMV inspection proves that the #'s are clean I can get an antique title. The bike kicks through and seems to have good compression, the gears shift smoothly, the carbs need cleaned, the cluthc cable is broke, all plastic is shot as well as the exhaust, needs rewiring. This bike is far enough along that making a cafe style bike would probably be the cheapest way to go. What else do I need to look at before I turn loose of $150.00, I believe this is what he had payed for it a few years ago. Are parts hard to get. I have tried to upload a few pictures but I am getting errors. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

With the engine feeling strong it is well worth the $150. Buy it. I do performance work on these and parts are readily available.
