little bit of a hiccup with my S32 today. I took advantage of the relatively nice weather and ride it around the block. The chain popped off (the master link came apart), leaving me stranded and walking home 8 blocks, pushing the bike. I just ordered a new chain on amazon- should arrive sunday. That chain guard was a royal pain in the ass to get on. Imagine my excitement when I realized it had to come off again. Otherwise the bike was working like a champ up until the chain came off
Nothing got damaged inside the chain guard, so I guess I am lucky.

what a kick in the nut-sack. I was busting tail to get this bike built (along with my GT185) for a bike-show in Milwaukee - the BrewTown Rumble. It was scheduled for the end of May. Unfortunately it was just cancelled. Oh well, safety of others is more important, but it makes me sad that everything has to get cancelled. We just lost Summerfest in Milwaukee, now this. (I could give two shits about the DNC convention in Milwaukee that was rescheduled.)

I feel ya, man. We lost our Meltdown show in Hendersonville, NC which kicks off the year for us. I'm still extremely fearful we'll lose Mid-Ohio. I just wish places would let things play out a little more. I get that they have to give people the time to plan, but me personally, I would be totally fine finding out two weeks before that something got cancelled and that they waited so long to make 100% sure they had to.

They let mama tried in Milwaukee “play out” a couple weeks ago, and they ended up shooting themselves in the foot over that. They didn’t cancel that show until the night before. People came from all over the country, including vendors and sponsors. People were already here - having driven hundreds or thousands of miles. People were pretty pissed and posting scathing posts around here about that. I’m sure this time around they wanted to give vendors and venues a bigger heads up.

Fantastic.!
Now powder that kickstarter lever chrome and you'll really be "finished" lol

I thought about doing that but its a strange design and doesn't seem to come all the way apart in order to allow it to be powder coated. I actually ordered a "replacement" unit twice from Thailand. Both times the parts did not fit. I also have tried to purchase a new or replica shifter lever too, but haven't had any luck. This bike is an early model and I have found that a lot of the parts are different than the later model had. I have been burned several times ordering parts for a S32, only to find that it doesn't fit this early model.

The other parts I had trouble finding were headers. These early model headers were larger diameter than the newer models. Twice I ordered headers and they didn't fit. (including the one time I went against my rule of NOT ordering from Paul Miller- he was the only person who had them- turned out he labelled them wrong and they didn't fit- I had all sorts of issues trying to get him to let me return them, and eBay had to intervene)
