take the old one into a bike store and they should be able to match up one in stock. most likely from a honda.

Having trouble replying..will try again. I bought off e-bay...reflective tape...seller Mackius. 2 lots so far quite happy with product and seller.
I can't work out how to supply a link!!!!
Chris.

Hi Sunbeam, I see you must of bought the very first Ace as your photos show that you owned it as far back as 1st Jan 2004 (only joking).
But really it does look good, how does your rev counter hold up on a long run. As I had the same make on mine and found that it worked for about ten miles and then the damping would give up and the needle would flop about from 0 to 13. once I had stopped and it cooled down it would be OK again for a bit. It's now back on the shelf.

Hi Guys,
Been reading the forum for a while... after meeting a fellow member (orrible-64) last night, I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm from Adelaide, Australia. I got my Ace late last year - was advertised as "Parts" - previous owner crashed it and took it all apart. So I really DID get a "kit" bike - was all in bits and pieces. As you can see in the pic...

Then it started looking more like a bike...

Here is where we are now... bike is all together and on the road.

Last night, orrible-64 spotted me practicing in the carpark (just got my Ls) and we had a bit of a chat. Thanks for the seat cover! Sure beats my ripped up one!

Anyway, walked into the garage this morning and saw a puddle of fuel on under the bike! I had filled up on fuel last night and found that my fuel tank is leaking from underneath the rear bracket - right under the back in the centre, the hardest place to get to!

Anyone had any issues with leaking fuel tank??? I might have to order a new one (mine is a bit dented on one side from the crash...

Is the fuel tank from ooRacing the same as original?

Welcome to the SkyTeam crew bongoAce!

I'm fairly sure there hasn't been any leaking tank problems: crash damage could be at fault.
It would be waaaay cheaper to get a replacement tank from the Australian distributor in Perth:

WAMI MOTORCYCLES
Customer Service: 08 9302 2922
wamimotorcycles@iinet.net.au
Unit 7/9 Inspiration Drive, Wangara Western Australia 6065

You can see in the pictures where its leaking from - right under that plate that the bracket is welded to... bit of a weird place to leak... could of been fractured when it crashed, who knows. Bit hard to fix, would have to cut the bracket off to get to it...

Thanks, already got some parts from Ikonic and have sent em an inquiry about the the fuel tank.. will see whats cheaper as thinking of getting the 150c bore kit from ooracing too - might work out OK with combined shipping.

Doesn't look crash damaged; maybe some moisture got under the bracket plate when the parts were stored after the crash.

Probably could be fixed with Caswell tank sealer.

Crazy

Glad I put I. The correct letterbox . Should be able to put over old cover and replace rivets with jeans type press studs. Cover is a bit of a tussle to get on correctly but it does go on. See photos much earlier in this thread.

An old french review of the Ace. Google translate makes for an entertaining read for non-French speakers...
