Finished the paint this weekend, coils are wired up, just need to plumb the carbs, and install the velocity stacks, mirrors, signals and tail light, and finish off the exhaust. Another week or two and it should be ready to ride.

velocity stacks came in today. Fit perfectly, great deal. 4 for $25 usd, they even fit my 500T's carbs. Couldn't be happier

Signals and mirror arrived today. Imported from Oberon in the UK.

Quality is stellar, the design is ingenious. Very impressed.

Georgous bike! Really nice work. Have to tell ya I really liked the fender down on the tire. Something you don't see and I think it helped seperate it from others. That's just my .02. Love everything about the bike. It's truly in a class all its own!

the oberon signals/mirrors have been on my wish list for a while now. Good to hear that they are worth the price.

edit: btw I was planning on just running the oberons and no rear or fronts since they flash both ways and should be plenty visible. Are you doing the same? I think this will clean up the bike soooo much, Im surprised more people dont do it.

i'd just like to say that your bike is an inspiration for me to build my 350G. i'm in the process of finding a Gixxer 600 front end (and wheel) and was curious what you mean exactly by machining the neck tube?

I thought about it, however i don't think it would pass inspection. My taillight is a standard round 3.5" trailer light thats been packed full of LED's. There is an outer ring that 1/2 lights up whent he right signal is activated and 1/2 when the left is. The centre is dual intensity, it lights as a driving lamp and a stop lamp. I thought this was the safest cleanest solution

I should just machine up a few conversion steering stems for the 350 crowd, this type of swap is becomming popular. However, in the meantime, what i mean is the location of the top race/bearing in the headtube. Since the steeringstem for the gsxr and all modern bikes(as far as i've found) is 30mm od for both bearing locations and you cannot use the standard upper bearing for the cb350. The race for the 30mm bearing is 1 or 2mm to larger than the location it's to fit on the 350, so you will need to bore out the space to fit the race in place.

Haha, thanks guys, i'll think about it when i have some more free time to spend in the machine shop.

And no, I haven't started/rode it yet. I want to be able to start it up, sync and tune the carbs and then take it for a ride. It's just a cock-tease any other way. If everything goes my way I'm hoping for next weekend or the week after.

I think if you made up a couple modified steering stems theyd def sell. But then again, Im not really sure what would be less expensive, buying a custom stem or having a machine shop bore out the neck. But either way you are right, this conversion is pretty straight forward it seems and you can find a gsxr front end with calipers for $300-$400

Nice build,
I've got to say I'm a little disappointed you went white ( even though I love white cars and bikes ), with this build and that brown seat that metalic blue that you had would have looked smokin'. Love the exhaust wanna make me one for my 175 : )
