I wonder if he realizes that the second he started powdercoating everything and using non Kawasaki paint, that it's no longer interesting to the real collectors that will spend that kind of stupid money.

Yea, but it's not that much of a collective item.. They aren't that rare to warrant that kind of price. But yes I agree, not using genuine paint and excessive powder is not best if you're looking to sell as perfectly restored.

+1. The price is about 5k to high.

.

Being that it's a '74 "b", it's highly unlikely he'll get that kind of money for it. The "b" was most common model built. He painted it like a '75 "c" which is the most collectible because it's the last year, it has a couple of unique parts on it and it had the lowest production run of all the years the h2 was produced.

As has been said, no true collector will touch this one. Too bad though, a lot of effort has been put into this one. :-\

86 rwhp? BFD. Check out Mike Riecks, 99.4 rwhp cb750.

86 at the rear wheel is pretty good for a h2 street motor. It was rated at 71 back in the day, so that's a pretty good up-grade.

I know some guys pushing 100hp on the street here... but they're a handful. ;) Seaglider and I are working on one right now that just might nudge up against that number... we'll see. ;) ;D

Starting the ad off with a French Quarter drag queen sitting on it isn't going to help any either... That just doesn't fly once you leave Rue Bourbon... let alone in Slidell.

We've still got a place in Bay Saint Louis, used to live in Long Beach, spent many a paycheck at the old Honky Tonk bar in Slidell when stationed at Gulfport...

Yea haha! They make me want to buy it so much more!

Honky Tonk Bar in Slidell? Where was that? I'm from Slidell and still live there, never heard of it.

Country bar in the bottom, modern crap upstairs. Old red building when I used to go there. Not all that far from Taco Tico... Am I showing my age yet, that would have been in spring 1995... pretty sure it was on US 11. And I know that part of town got Katrinafied...

haha Yea you are a little! Taco Tico close before the 2000s, but Yea that area got hit hard. That place must have been closer to the hwy 11 bridge. That's where most bars are, besides Old Town.

$15K??? I'd say that's more likely arouund a $7.5K. Bu then again I've seen bikes go for an unbelievable price if that one guy with a lot of spare change laying around decides he really wants.

I saw that one Ronnie. That guy will never sell that bike around here. The prices here are stupid enough as is. Some old skag will see this and think that his rust pile is worth at least half of this.

One thing that I can stand is when someone takes a bike that is far from new condition and asks for more than it was worth when it was brand new. Including inflation! I can't see the logic in that.

I can't disagree with you there.

It's fairly easy to see, but it does depend on the age of the bike you are talking about. I have a 1965 Honda S65, my first bike and I still got it. Original paper works show $312.00 OTD. So with your train of though it should be less than that even in very good condition....say, what...$200?? Or are you saying that with inflation that $312, which would be $2316.50 today, it should be less that that??

One thing you got to remember is that logic does not apply. Some bikes for whatever reason are highly sought after, like a sandcast CB750 and people will pay big bucks for them. What I love are the ads that say Rare vintage motorcycle, $4000....then you click on it and you see a stock well used but all there CB350!!! Yeah, rare indeed, Honda only imported around 450,000 of them.
