The Van is pretty solid, has rust around the gutters and could use a new fuel tank. I just don't drive it enough. The bike is surprisingly in great shape.
Holy shit......that looks like my old van. Except I had a 64. And mine was all copper colored. Omg. Your shit looks so tite. Ford falcon club wagon deluxe is what it looks like. Complete with retracting side floor when you open the door. If its complete with all the door and interior trim inside.......that's a keeper. I ended up selling mine about 10 years ago on eBay to a fella in Denmark. I sold for 6500 and he sold it for 11 in Europe.
We're all just jealous of your van (I want it too).
It would seem to me the van would be worth more than the Bonneville. I guess if the Bonnie is all original, matching numbers blah blah blah then it's good.
I'd spend some time getting the van up and running and then decide if you want to keep it or not. There's always a Bonnie out there for sale. In good running order your van would probably fetch more than enough to buy a very nicely sorted Bonneville or any other restored bike.
Haha I'm leaning toward keeping the van. I do enjoy it and now that it's starting to cool down I could drive it more. Had another interesting offer last night though. I've never seen one of these before.
Cant stuff bikes into the morris tho.
Crap...looked at some old pics of my old van, and now you have me scouring for another one. Thanks alot. ...... Not a good thing!
Will you ride the Triumph? If you don't drive the van and are a Triumph fan, then it might not be a bad trade and it'll free up some room. I am a Triumph fan, but I'm sitting here not knowing if I'd make that trade. A van can be pretty handy. I have a friend with that van with a healthy V8, and it's a blast to drive. But to be honest I'd ride the bike a lot more than I'd drive the van. Sooo... to answer you, I don't have a clue.
