Today I had a defining moment in my life.

Mad Science!
DTT BOTM WINNER
It all started last night when I spotted something amazing on the interweb. I saw a 1975 RD125 on CL for a whopping $300, or trade for pistol. Called the guy and he was interested in a Colt 1911 knock off that I had lying around. Back story on that is that I was in it for $50. So basically, after a 5 hour round trip ride to Tennessee, my wife is the proud new owner of a running, riding, smoking little 125cc 2 stroke twin! She absolutely loves it! It needs new tires, and we spent the night fixing the PO's screw ups like mis adjusted rear brake, front brake, and clutch cables, blown bulbs, etc. and cleaning the mess out of her. I love this bike, and it is so peppy that it will EASILY pop a wheely. It's a little screamer! Popped on some drag bars I So we went down to a closed down grocery store down the road and within five minutes of tutoring my wife was putting around the parking lot. 15 minutes later she was on the road.....the kicker is this.....SHE LOVES IT!!!! I am such a proud man tonight. My wife is now into vintage bikes, and that my friends makes life worth living.

That's awesome Kiley! Congrats. I know you've been wanting to share the passion with her.

ahhhh!!! so awesome to see the pics/video. she's so badass, kiles. you've got a keeper! woooooooo

kiley you are one lucky bastard!! very jealous!

NICE SCORE!... the bike is pretty cool also :D

now all you need to do is get her some proper riding gear ;)

Man Kiley, I am sooo jealous, of the bike and the fact you got Denise riding. I keep trying and one day maybe my wife will give it a shot. Congrats on the great score and hope that you and Denise get to ride as much as you can.

Mike.

Sir, that is fucking fantastic. Congrats to Denise for getting a rad little bike, and for getting on two wheels.

Yeah guys I do consider myself lucky. Ever sincere went to West Virginia and she saw Lauren's RD250, she loved it and couldn't stop talking about it. This bike was actually listed as a 250, but turned out to be a 125 which is still awesome if not better. This little guy will easily pull 70mph.

I have to give a huge shout out to Lauren (Go) and Mike (Maritime). The tutoring you guys gave her in WV really hit home for her. She hasn't stopped talking about it, and she is literally a natural because of it. It's awesome. So thank you guys so much!!!!!

And no worries about the riding gear David....when she hits the big streets we'll have her set up right!

Dude, that is really cool! I am stoked for you and Denise both. Now you may have to pull HER out of the shop at night! ;)

No worries there Brandon, Kiley was in the shop from dawn till Wee hours of the morning at Troys and if Denise wants to stay, I am sure he will too. They may end up with So many bikes they won't know what to do with them.

Kiley, I was happy to help Denise learn to ride. I find it easy to teach other people, my wife, not so easy, so next year I hope you can return the favor and get my wife on a bike:) She just gets frustrated with me cause we're married :)

Cheers,

Mike

Kiley... You know how awesome I think this bike is. And the fact that your old lady is that goddamn badass (as well as a seriously kind hearted and friendly person) just puts the oil flavored icing on the cake man! Well played on all fronts! Cant wait to see this thing in person some day!

Very cool. Nothing hotter then a woman on a vintage bike. Is she on the forum? If not, it looks like it's time for her to sign up.

Way cool. Congrats Denise from the both of us. Its so cool she picked it up so quick. Thats a perfect little bike for her. Making Jenn jealous that she needs something old too. haha rock on brother and sister.

Kiley, that is awesome! I'm so glad for both of you. You know, Denise helped me with Mile's brakes in WV, so not only do you have a rider, you have a wrencher too. =) Damn are you lucky!
