Toronto bike show, who is going??

supercafe

Coast to Coast
hello, just wondering who is going to the toronto bike show in december???

i have a couple of guys going down, and my father inlaw is opening a booth for his fiberglass bike trailers.
any how, like to see who's gong.
later.

Ì might sneak up there for a day if time and money permit. December is kind of a bad month to have a bike show. :-\

I have been to a couple of these in T.O., and then this summer checked out a vintage bike swap meet for the first time. In the future, I will go to no more shows, and way more meets. Shows are all bling, and if your not in the market for a new bike, I have found there is not much to entice people like ourselves who are into the garage-built side of motorbiking.

Just my 2 cents.

Ya, I'll be there at some point. ;D I'm not sure at this stage. :)

I like to check out the latest gear and bikes, but hookin' up with friends is really what it's all about for me! 8)

hey,

i agree most of it is all bling and show, but i to like to check out the latest gear and bikes, not just to look at but to get ideas from them. i went last year and was not to bad, saw some vintage race bikes, nice customs, etc.
the other thing is meeting up with friends and hanging, i posted this to see who was going, because it would be nice to meet up with some of the DTT members i talk to all the time.
either way i am going, and might check out the dice cafe while i am down.

any way, hope to meet up with some of ya, let me know.
later.

I agree it must be cool to meet with friends. I only started riding last year, and none of my friends have bikes, either in my old city or here in Oshawa since I moved here only 6 months ago. Only DTT guy I know is Tony. If I go and spot some patches on you guys maybe i will say hi, but seems a lil odd approaching complete strangers like that. Not really my style.

I, too, want to check out the Dice Cafe. I like the vintage feel of the Cadillac Lounge, and wish I knew of and could spend more time in places that have style like those. Would be great to support a cafe that has a 'bike night' like the Dice does, also.

Oh ya, one show last year had a bunch of vintage bikes. I forgot about that, they were cool to see forsure.

Im thinking about getting a DTT spot for our bikes.

I called the guy from the super show and its free for club/organization.

We just need to get some kind of banner put up and display some bikes and memorbilia...

Whos up for it?

I'd be up for that, I could bring the 76, its not a true "Built" bike, only a few bolt ons etc but would show what can be done on the cheap.

You're talking the Jan. show in the Int'l Centre in Mississauga, right?? :)

I seem to remember trying to do this a couple of years ago! :D I think it would be doable! I could contribute a bike. :D

Anyone know a Banner Maker guy who can whip us a banner for free or cheap?

Lets do it - i'll need to get the 650 hauled in on the trailer but it will look nice :)

I'll explore some banner options - if anyone on the board can hook us up....

Ok.. then if we are gonna do it, I'll set it up.
We'll need an idea of how many bikes we are going to display, etc..etc..
Tim I'll be intouch with you about the logistics...

So far I've found places to do 2 x 10 banners for about $85. Unless someone steps up I'll buy the banner and hang it in my garage when it's not in use :)

whats up,

this would be totally awesome, are you going for the december or january????
my bike is not done, but could be set up to be close to it.
i would be totally into this, let me know when.
i was just seeing who was going, but this is way better.
i use to work at a sing place, i am really good friends with the owner i will check next week.
might be able to get one free or close to, how big should it be??

i could pick up that patch from you Tim.
save on postage.

Let me know if i can get the bike to a good visual, its going...

I will of course have to pass it all by the boss!!!
any way, this is great, either way can't wait.
later.

hey man,

that works better for me in terms of the bike, i could be so close to finishing it, and i could trailer it down with my father in laws bike trailers.
count me in as of now,
i will look into the banner/banners.
this is awesome, who else is in on this, going to be a time.

any way, cool.
later.
