As always you do sick work!

I dunno how that trailer ball is gonna hold up though ???

ya know to be honest they really hold up pretty well! of course it scratches a bit but not near as bad as you would think! I shot these last year right before snowmobile season... ill snap some pics of them tonight to show you.. i am pretty impressed with how well they hold up. I converted every trailer i have to 2in ball so i never pull them off so i figured why not just coat them as a whole they are for my own stuff anyway ya know... very impressed by how they handle the abuse, ill get some pics up

Wow! Great work as always! I wish I lived closer to you, I'd have you do all my stuff. What's your opinion on powdering spokes before they're laced up? From your experience how do they hold up?

I love two-tone powder work. I KNOW how much work it is. <G>

I have a question about the powdercoated trailer ball, though. I would think that you have to have a ground wire to the trailer for the lights to work. Trailers generally get their ground through the hitch.

Man that is some nice work should send you my shocks to have done !

Always in awe of your work Joe, and totally jealous of your powder selection :'(

I can't for the life of me find a local shop that even has a nice gold to do my boomerang comstars. They say none of their suppliers stock a metallic gold. I show them pics of some of your samples and they say 'well just ship 'em over to him!' That's the level of customer service I have to deal with. If it ain't gloss/satin/flat black they don't want to know about it. It will only take one shop to pull their finger out and get a bit creative I guess and things will improve, but in the meantime we're stuck in the 90s doing pool-fences and so on.

sorry for the rant, great work man.
ian

Different powder suppliers have different colors. If I used only one source for powder, I would have to live with the selection from that source. For instance, I had to search several different suppliers to find an aged bronze color that I liked. Still haven't found a copper that I like, though.

Alpha, i have not had any issues with grounding on the hitch... main reason i coat my hitches is they hold up so much better as most of mine are used with my snowmobile trailer, or boats/jet ski's so they see alot of moisture.

Bike boy more than happy to help you out with any coating work you may need done

Nothing I'd like more Joe, but I have a feeling shipping 2 wheels from Oz and back will kill me :'(

what do you think the reaction of local shops would be if I took them in some metallic gold powder to use? How much do you think it would take to coat 2 boomerang comstars? Is this a viable option?

cheers
