I had the chance to ride mine before tear down. The whole bike, while it held the corners fine, just seemed to flex a bit too much. After some research decided to weld the seams to stiffen it up. Might be unnecessary now as I'm sticking to the basic CL design but will be doing it up with a bit more suspension travel to make it more off-road worthy. A small ADV style bike is what I have in mind.
I guess if you are keeping on the road with the intention to run twisty roads, I would probably do it. Some say it's really isn't required, but a lot of the racers do it for the track, so at the end of the day, what can it hurt? I paid a case of beer to have it done so that helped me make my choice.
