ugly duckling CM400T build - Calling it finished

Cheers Fresh C,

I really appreciate you putting these pics up, I have ordered up a cable to suit this sort of set up, it's the best work around I think for the rear sets,
a solid bar is just not workable in anyway that would look aesthetically pleasing.

I will look through your thread for the brake light switch set up, and copy that idea too if you don't mind...I will keep you posted on my progress.

How are the Mikuni Carbs working out for you...do you notice any power improvement.....I'm also going to run with no Mudguards...but was thinking of fitting on trumpets/velocity stacks...my concern was maybe...a lot of dust debris getting thrown in by the back wheel...any thoughts???

Over the stock carbs with pods it's a HUGE improvement. Not as easy to setup but worth it in my opinion. I would advise against running stacks without a hugger of some sort. It doesn't rain much where I live so hopefully the unipods work out.

Copy away. I know I've copied others along the way.

I was fortunate enough to see this finished bike in person earlier this week and the photos don't lie. It's amazing. Fit and finish, ergonomics (for an appropriately sized rider) exhaust sound, etc.... all of it is impressive. I'll actually be employing Fresh_C to help continue my KZ project, as my new day job and new daddyhood are taking all of my time lately. I trust him fully to build a quality machine. Well done on the CM. This has to be my favorite stock-framed and stock-forked CM ever.

I looked over your build ( great job by the way! It looks awesome) and was hoping to find an answer about you converting the rear wheel to 18". It looks soooo much better and i want to do it to my cm400t also.
Is there anything that you had to modify to allow the 18" wheel to fit, or does it fit with everything else stock??

NO! The stock rear wheel is 16" on the CM400t's.
He has pictures on the first page of this thread of him switching it as well.
Thats the reason i have asked.

Well I never knew that, no wonder he changed it to a 18" wheel, it would of helped if I have read the complete thread.

If it come off a CB400T it will swap right over. I had one but never got around to switching before I sold the CM. I was waiting to need to change the tire.

It's a straight swap and looks a millions time better.
