Hello all, newbie here.
Just finished this bike and i am eager to give it a run. I was hoping someone on the UK side could tell me which insurance companies they use.

Welcome! I can't help you with the insurance issue either but I agree, "that's a nice job"! Do you have any more pictures of her?

Nice work.

I've come to the conclusion it doesn't matter which insurance company you get quotes from - they're all robbing bastards.

your right, i suppose im just trying to find out which one will rob me the least!!! I'm looking to find out is which ones are the best to go to insure the modified bikes. Any one has done this to point me in the right direction?
Cheers

The original tank was huge so i cut it down and then shaped and formed a fiberglass cover.
Thanks

Ok all
After what seems like endless phone calls and putting up with holding music waiting to be connected, never mind emails and chat lines, i managed to get a few insurance quotes. Getting all the information to the specialist team assessors to look at the modifications is part of the process. Most of the companies disregard some modifications and it is all a bit of a mine field. Out of them all Bennetts came up trumps with quote that was far better than some of the less known companies, who i thought might have been cheaper. I can only think they have a promotion on at the moment to attract clients
MOT and tax this week and at last ill be able to get out and see how it goes. I never rode it as a cruiser, so it should be interesting in its new shape.

Thanks for responding and the info. I haven’t had a bike on the road for some time now so there was no NCB. But my age was an advantage for once. Fully comp was £134 with Bennett’s which I was happy with. Carol Nash came in at £240. Saying that my experience is that It’s when you have to make a claim that you really find out if it’s worth the paper it’s written on.
Cheers

Took it out today for its first run. It’s been a while since I’ve ridden. I think this bike is going to take some getting used to.
To be expected I suppose considering it’s base is a cruiser. My first impression is it’s still a bit of a lump even though it has shed a lot of it’s weighty standard trim. There’s still some work to do on the jetting and suspension.
