Vintage motorcycle

Hi everyone,
I received this back in the seventies from my mother, who made it from vacuum cleaner parts-I believe. I'm pretty sure it was a kit of some kind of kit, but I have not seen one other than mine! Anyone out there have any ideas?!

That's what they called 'string art'. The kits were a pattern where you pound in the nails
and use either cloth string or wire to weave in a pattern.
