Wakesurf Boat Remodel

Been a minute here!
Boat was dropped off for paint 6 months ago.
4 months go by with excuse after excuse and I finally said fuck it and went and picked it up. Nothing done and the guy disappeared with my deposit. Ass hole. Working with the police at the moment to send his ass to jail (again).

PSA: Pay everything with a credit card!

Anyway new paint shop is finishing up next week so I found some motivation to get back to work.

Pulled the swim platform out of storage and refinished it. Turned out pretty good.

Then I built a vacuum table for the CNC to hold the foam (been needing one for years anyway) and made the floors from double layer EVA that I bought from China. It went way too well and I didn't even fuck any pieces up.( That never happens). EVA was like 200 bucks, so several grand cheaper than paying SeaDek to do it lol. May have to get into that business as the markup is nuuuuuuuuts.

I'm pretty damn pleased with how it turned out.

Ah gotcha, those are easy, a weekend with a drill and a jigsaw and a few pieces of teak!

Hot damn that looks amazing.

I keep finding more reasons to want a CNC. Would be pretty badass to CNC all the furniture for the Westy.

I don't know how I'd get along without it.
Single best investment I've made from a business standpoint and a personal project perspective.

I've been working my ass off here on this thing.
Back from paint.
Windshields Mounted
Tower and Bimini Mounted
Battery tray and ballast pump mount fabbed from stainless
motor back in.

Been wiring for the past 3 days and last night she fired right up.
Almost there so close..

im close to there with a sundancer 230 im doing right now just have to swap the new motor for the cracked block

And done.
Basically. Still little stuff to tie up but i'm calling it finished.

I know this is a motorcycle forum and most of you could give a fuck about a boat, but I like to share stuff like this if nothing else to show people that once you acquire a skill set you can apply it anywhere you want. Building motorcycles taught me all the skills I needed to do this.

I learned to glass from building seats and seat pans, I learned motors from rebuilding countless old bike motors. Paint and body work? Yep messing with bikes. All the complicated electrical in this thing? Yep learned that from building bikes too. Welding, fabrication, troubleshooting. You name it it came from my love of messing with shitty motorbikes. Most of it all gleaned from reading and spending time here!

Plus now I should have time to finish up the SR500 ;D

And you obviously learned well! Really nice job, loving it.
