what about welders

I use an oxy set but for anything critical, I tack it up and get it welded by a certified welder.

Finally picked up an argon bottle this week for the Eastwood TIG 200 that has been gathering dust for weeks. Now I need to learn how to use it.

It's funny seeing people posting like they know anything about welding.
oxy/fuel is for winners Teazer :)

I'm a welding instructor. Lol but that really doesn't make my opinion more valid than the next guys, I just personally thing for the novice, a 110 mig is the best starting point. But I really did just get 10 and they are great.

This pic ticks off the Lincoln/miller feud guys.

That right there is a thing of beauty!

Tuna and Tim those are both pretty nice welds!
I think I'm just a tig guy, it took me years of practice to get decent with the MIG, bit I picked up the tig and within a few hours I can put down a nice weld (unless I can't get the fucking torch in the hole, I still can't figure out how people get beautiful welds all the way around when the damn torch won't fit)

Beauty until you spend 8 hours a day in one of those booths making the same part for a year... But you do learn to weld blind 360's rolling shit with a knee or free hand to make rate

Sonic, extend the tip further out from the cup and turn up the argon or get a gas lens OR get a variety of sized cups and lengths. And there also different torch heads you can get that are stubby and flexible

Yep or just like Kamn says "extend the tungsten" and you can use a purge line to flood the gas into the weld, not the most cost effective but like on a bunch of compound mitered tube intersecting it sure works nice. my hand is not so steady anymore so I would likely need quiver of sharps handy ;D
