What did you build this week?

Here is where it currently sits: It's been raining for weeks. I'm ready for it to stop so i can get the tin on.

Here's a shot from standing on the foundation when I first got it done. You can tell by the foliage change that it has taken a while to build a house by myself while working 60+hrs a week lol

When visiting my friend in Rockvale, I usually take US70 to Smithville (used to spend summers there with grandparents in the 60s) then drop down to Stones River Road to Woodbury. Gets crappy through M'boro. I need to work out a route around. I'm North of Knoxville.

You're right around our farm if youre cutting through smithville. There is pretty much no good way through murfreesboro anymore, you just gotta navigate the backroads the best you can haha. I live down 96 East (what others would call Lascassas Pike).

If you're north of knoxville, and don't mind taking the interstate you could take 40 all the way down, hit 24, then go towards chattanooga until you come to a road called New Salem (highway 99) and that would take you straight to rockvale.

When on a bike, I avoid interstates unless absolutely necessary. When I spent time in Smithville, on of my grandfather's friends was Mr. Knowles, who owned one of the big nurseries. Now, nurseries are everywhere around there.

I think we've taken 96 a couple times on our return. We visited him a couple times at the Farmer's Market in the M'boro square. He used to set up to sell canned goods there.

Latest project:
The Cham-Wow MK1
pretty proud of the name, not going to lie.

A machine to chamfer (see what I did there?) both ends of steel rods for work:

Now i've got to get a motor on it, machine the cutter heads, and automate the thing. Should be fun.
