finished the fireplace for Jill this weekend. White quartz stone veneer and live edge butternut mantel. Need to coat the mantel in something as the final step.

Didn't build anything. Fixed the two large burners in the wife's stove - Element sockets were shot, but I had a couple spare ones. Did make new rear seat mounts for the Hunley to lower the seat ~3/4" in the back. Don't have ANY woodworking talent.

Continuing the "timber frame style but not real timber frame" on our land, we built a chicken coop and finished it up yesterday. Our goal was to not have to buy anything except for chicken wire and the roofing material and to not care if the building was straight or crooked, so all the wood used was repurposed cedar planks and trees we cut and removed the bark from a while ago in preparation for this. First pictures are of the chicken coop, and the last is of a cover for the honey bees we built last year just so yall can see the theme.

Awesome!
We make all kind of timber frame brackets and post bases if you ever need any of that.
Just powdered a batch yesterday:

Walnut Wood Works
We primarily make Butcher Block Countertops, Floating Shelves and Floating Shelf Brackets.
To do that we have cnc everything and a press brake so the timber brackets are easy side work.

Continuing reno work on the cabin. After laying the floors a couple years ago (solid birch 3/4” x 4.25” planks) we decided to bump out two closets for our bedroom. Previously I had put a bathroom between the two bedrooms eliminating the closets, so it had to be done.

I had left an area open for the hearth pad of the wood stove, but that’s being replaced with a propane unit which doesn’t need a pad. And if we ever want I can put a pad directly on top of the hardwood.

Long story short I learned how to lace in hardwood floors. Mostly just takes guts and a lot of crossing of fingers and some Tetris skills.

When it comes time to build my shop up here I’ll have to get some brackets. Giving serious thought to some sort of timber frame style construction. Nothing over the top fancy, but some brackets like those would work well for what I’m thinking about.

Rebuilt a trash boat trailer to re sell. Tongue was bent up 20 degrees. Scrapping the "free" boat taught me a life lesson. A free boat that "ran last summer" means full of water, engine freeze cracked... time to walk away! less than $100 in seals, grease. LED lamps, wiring,a couple new rollers, V blocks and some hammered finish and it is ready to go. Looks as good as a $3500 new one.

Nice work fellas. Great seeing all the bikes on DTT of course, but this thread always impresses me with what else you all get up to. Inspiring...

Threw some parts at the Miata...

OEM Strut Tower Brace was removed by the PO because it interfered with the Ohlins shocks, added one back in that also has a brake m/c brace.
And pulled the front end off the car to install a cold air intake. Definitely revs quicker.
