What kind of riding boots do you like/are using?

I wear these Alpinestar ridge boots, they are waterproof which is nice as I commute by motorcycle. although they do get mighty hot when walking around a lot, I believe there is a non waterproof version available with some perforation for venting. They did take quite some time to break in. I purchased them for $50, like new, from someone who ordered the wrong size and couldn't return them. They don't slip and are a mid calf boot which I prefer.

TCX Air Tech mesh boots. Had mine for 8 years now. Great in warm weather and waterproof too. I've worn them in winter as well without issue.

I wear a set of leather waterproof mid calf boots with sliders. They are some off brand, can't remember the name, but I like them a lot. Paid maybe $120 for them. Though when I ride to work I change shoes once I'm in the office, wearing them all day is a no go.

I have had a pair of Aerostich "Combat Lite" boots for a over a year now. They are made by Sidi so they are very nice. Once they broke in they have been comfortable, reasonably breathable, and waterproof with leather treatment. They actually look pretty good with your pants over them, not nearly as dorky looking as most riding boots imho. I think for any "real" riding boot you need to have buckles or a covered lace. a few years ago I had a lowside on some sand at about 20mph. My foot got caught under the bike and the asphalt chewed through my laces and then ripped my boot off, luckily i didnt get hurt too bad. That being said I still wear work boots on rides that arent commuting or road tripping.

My Wolverine's are almost as comfy as my slippers.

I wear some plain old Doc 14 eyes. Lots of ankle support, plenty of leather to protect your foot/lower calf and steel toes.

Not as nice as they once were, when they were all made in England. The new Chinese made ones are still good but definitely not as good...

Agreed,
the last pair I had were 8 holes and I think I wore them for 4 years and would weekly give them a polish and shine
But those were made in England back in the day

Which is when Grinders come in.

I have a pair of Chinese Docs, and they are ok but compared to my 14 hole Grinders they are terrible.

Ever since my father got t-boned by a car while riding I take riding boots fairly seriously. He was wearing medium duty work boots, his foot was so smashed that it popped the entire soul of shoe right off the bottom of fabric/leather and laces. He's recovered well thankfully, but the boot held up very poorly.

I had a motorcycle tennis shoe with laces and had great ankle support and toe box was tough. But I was making a uturn on the street and my laces got stuck on the shifter and I couldn't put my foot down. Of course cars were coming at me and freaked me out. Luckily made it after shaking madly, but since then I have Alpinestars. Refills had a special so I got suckers in. But love em

I have a pair of Joe rocket ballistic boots. Before that I was wearing my dads old engineer boots, slip on all leather, calf height and probably more than 30 years old. Can't seem to find another pair like them.
