While I'm waiting to collect my ACE...

The Mariner

Adelaide, Australia
Hi Everyone,

While waiting for the weekend to collect my new ACE, I thought I'd play around and 3d-print a plastic 'Ace of Spades' charm to hang on my key ring.

It was only for fun but reckon it's come out pretty well, so if anyone else in Australia would like one, please PM me your postal address & I'll post you one. Kinda my way of saying thanks to the community for all the great information I have been reading here recently.

Naturally it looks best in black but if you'd prefer I can print in red, yellow, orange or white.

Yes, a couple of weeks ago. Rode it home from Scootaround & immediately started on mods. I'm about 105kg & the thing was slow off the mark and flat out at 60kph, so performance mods need to be made before I'll ride it much further so it can free-up.

- Removed the mirrors.
- Rotated the switchgear & levers forward so they fall to hand much better.
- Removed the god-awful rear guard, re-located the indicators & started working on a much nicer tail light to fit o the back of the hump.
- Removed the EGR.
- Removed the side covers ready to re-locate the battery & remove the airbox.
- Removed the tank strap & added a black/white checkered sticker down the tank & hump.
- Adjusted gear lever & rear brake pedal.

Recd. my first parcel of goodies from OO Racing (front & rear EBC pads & braided front brake line) ready to be fitted when I get back from holidays. Same time the wheels are out for the brakes I'll get some M45 tyres fitted. Have new carby jets & have spoken with Redline about a new exhaust.

Now the fun begins!

Keep us all posted on developments with plenty of photos.

The M45 is a great choice; excellent wear and good handling!

Crazy

Onya mate! Catch up soon for a ride. Mine is back in road trim. Going to put back to stock gearing for a quick blast around the block. Could be fun

my new one had 125...never even started it..put on cam , 150 pot and piston my old 125 ported head with 150 springs and higher preload, exhaust, 26mm carb moddedairbox and mcs air filter pad. re jetted carb to 105 main took out baffle and geared up to 17/34...rode 6 km to servo and back...then straight to the trailer. 82 mph, rider weight 76 kg

That's crazy Orrible :)

I'm sure a few simple mods will get my Ace humming along much better so I'm looking forward to making them.

I know I already had the bits , but it does show that it can be done simply. Let me know if you need any head work done. I can do exchange head if needed. Can't do any more for free as I seem to be doing a few these days( take quite a long time to do). Can only do with standard springs
