XS650 Rear sets are here!!!

Im sure somdbody out there does. I will try to be working on them this summer, once i get a CB750. LOL

I will be. I have an 1100F. I just bought the rearset mounts to start making some magic happen.LOL

I am overwhelmed with excitement by your last post. My attempt to retrofit my stock GSXR rearsets isn't exactly going in the direction that I had hoped for. My project is now back on track.

Question-
Do you plan on having the DOHC Honda rearsets attaching to the stock aluminum mounting brackets that the driver and passenger pegs attach to or doing away with that altogether and mounting them directly to the frame somewhere?
I was hoping to ditch that piece altogether to clean things up. Also not having that there would help with simplifying the linkage and having a straight run to the shift shaft.

Let me know if we are on the same page here. 8)

Im unsure yet. My 1100 is my daily rider, and it is all i have that my son can ride along with me on. So personally, ill be keeping the full mounts on my bike. But i have a spare set of mounts, the stock and rearset style. So I will be looking at both options, as well as losing them altogether for a full on cafe. I want to build a DOHC 750 or 900 after my 650 yamaha. Ill have to do some research on this and keep you updated!

Sorry for the lax in posts. A Complete kit for an XS is $190 shipped. Thats folding pegs, and shift arm with full linkage included.

how quick can you produce a set? do you have any on hand for a 79 special? I Would much rather but a set from a dtt member than elsewhere. Also I like that they fold.

I have a set ready, and i can do a straight shift lever. Both with folding pegs. I am not able to get the splined shift arms anymore. They are still available on ebay, just not at the prices i was getting them at. $185 shipped US.

PM Me for Paypal info.

Here is the set I bought from Durgam K after I polished them and installed.

My friend Adam also has a set on his CB550.
Thanks Chris

Re: XS650 Rear sets are here!!!.....NOW MID controls too!!

I ahev finished my design on some MID controls now. These are more comfortable than the rearsets, but still provide a more aggressive feel when compared to stock. Check them out!!!!!

What bike did the shift arm you were using come off of?

Thats the stock one from the bike. I just drilled a new hole about 2 inches from the spline hole, and cut off and rounded the excess.

But if you want to go another route, the ones I used to get were from Ebay, off an R6, R1, R6s FZR and just about any other late model Yammie from 1990. Make sure its offset, and not straight. Aluminum or steel will work.

What year is your frame again?? 1980? Ill have to check on mounts. I know that I have MID mounts for that, and Rear mounts for 73 and earlier. I may have another set for the 74 and later.

Yes It's a 1980. Was also thinkin if we could make a set with reverse shifting?? If I swap the cam on the trans t will hit the exhaust but if the lever was opposite?? Just a thought. No worries when you have them. Heres a pic of my CL350's had them anodized.
