Freshly painted tins might motivate me to advance this project.

I had my 9 yo grandson remove the engine. He did it all but pull the lump. If the nut was too tight, I showed him where to grab a longer pull handle. This is what it’s all about!

I'd put it on the top triple clamp where it is easy to reach and there isn't as much wear and tear on it from the keys dangling sideways.

Well, it is considered more "custome" ;) than a switch on a top yoke :)
I prefer the traditional placement ;) but i can understand relocation: it looks cool.

My intent is an aftermarket top clamp. Otherwise, the stock switch will suffice. But, without the stock clocks and pilot box it's really going to stick out. Yes, I certainly understand your point.
