Yamaha TW200.. the swamp donkey

FINALLY!

You can probably remove the majority of the discs from the 3" Supertrapp. Don't recall how many you got there.

Ive got 6 4" on the 400F and I think E runs 6 4" on his 400F also.

I need to find my chart. But you might try 6,5 or 4 on the 200.

TBH I can't recall if its got any stuffing in it. Just give it a light rap near the end (outside) w hammer and the baffle will work out.

Not sure if its luck or clean living, but my wife said I did a pretty good job of picking a random rattle can of blue paint that matches the original frame color. (I'm partially color blind)

Cassy and a couple buddies agreed that it matched, but part of me isn't sure that they arent just trolling haha

Its not a super nice paint job, but I wanted to cover up the bare metal. Electronics tray and inner fender plate up next.

you did a great job choosing the color. I too am very color blind.
I can see that blue all the way from Illinois. ;D

I would say very close but not the same. Close enough no one would notice unless you asked.

I've heard that the color blind (I've worked with guys that are grey-scale) can tell slight nuances in color that others can't. You done good with your blue!

Looks good to me as best I can see in the pictures. Nicest shade of orange I've seen in ages!

I made up a quick little tray out of stainless steel to hold the cdi and limited wires that it takes to make the bike run. I also jettisoned the ignition switch for the use of a "hidden" toggle switch instead. (Y'all can't spill the beans to any would be thieves now that you know where it is). I still have the button up some loose ends but the wiring is done, at least until I have to figure out how to run lights.

This is the most tidy wiring job anyone will ever see outta me. All done for now until the additional bar switch comes in.

Also went to drain the fork oil and this thing came out lol. I'm thinking ill put a bit of kerosene or similar down the tubes for the first coupe laps around the yard to loosen the gunk up.

Oh no! You have Fork Worms! That's some really serious stuff. You have to put in special medicated oil every day for several weeks and then a once a month pill for the rest of its life! It'll survive if you treat in now, though!

Been pulling a few late (at least for me) nighters trying to button up some loose ends on this thing. I used teazers patented CAD (cardboard aided design) to make up an inner fender well out of .080" aluminum. Traced it, cut it on the band saw and then rolled in a couple beads for a bit more rigidity. It should serve to keep the doo doo mud away from the rest of the bike well enough.

I also had to make up a #kustom exhaust guard, because I'm not going to pay stupid eBay money for the right one ;)

The atc tank doesn't have a petcock, as on the original bikes, the petcock was mounted directly to the carb. To remedy this, I put a ball valve in line as well as a fuel filter. For things that don't have to come apart often, I like using safety wire instead of those little devil clips. Yeah, y'all know which ones I'm talking about....

Also, I mounted up a number plate on each side, and one on the front as well, at least until I get the dual ruckus lights mounted and wired. Irk is going to print me up some numbers. There's a bit of method to this madness. I am contemplating running the old tw200 in a hare scramble event at mid Ohio this year, and to pass tech, you need number plates.
