I have a Yamaha xs750. I just rebuilt the carbs. I bought the brass inlet T fittings, but can't seem to press them on the carbs . I've cleaned out any old gas residue in the inlet holes of the carb. Tried using silicone couldn't get passed the first o ring. Has anyone else had this same problem, HELP!

I'm not sure what part you're referencing but you can either heat the part the fitting is going in or cool fitting. I'd try the fitting in the freezer. If you have a method of warming the receiving end safely I'd recommend doing both.

this is the inlet T fitting

Might be the o-rings are the wrong size? I always use silicone vacuum grease to lube them.

As above, first, check whether the o-ring would even fit in the bore without the t-piece. If it does, lube it up with some silicone grease (i.e. vaseline or brake-piston grease), put it in the freezer and heat the carb bodies.

I'm confused. Those carbs are not from an XS750. They are much later flat slides probably from a Triumph triple. Check the size of the fuel feed hole in the carb and the size of that Tee piece and I suspect it may be too large.
