Yet another CB550 question...

"Lift up yer' kilt n' let it dangle!"
I know I know, I have some work ahead of me but I want to get a baseline before I jump in. What are you guys running for jetting on your 550Ks with filters and a header? I'm running no filters (screened velocity stacks) and a Kerker header with a much shortened baffle. I have 110 mains to put in but what pilots and needle setting do you recommend?

It can't be any worse than when I put 34 flat slides Mikunis on my KZ1000! :p

Terry, I have a CB550 running screened velocity stacks and a 4-2 exhaust system, I have experimented with my jetting (and help from Ringo) and I found my (and Ringo's) best settings were this: 110 mains, middle needle position, and stock idle mixture screw position (one turn out). I also replaced my slow jets (for standard) as they were blocked and gave me loads of stress.

I think i have a few new jets pm me if you need them 100 throu 120 i think ill sell them cheap

Sean: Thanks man, thats just what I was after. I have 110s to put in, and the needles were actually on the second last notch (richer). I think maybe the problem may be the pilot jets either bing too small or partially plugged. I was pretty careful when I cleaned them though.

bradj: pm sent
