    Shock absorber dimension question

I measured 330mm eye to eye. Postie shocks should fit and can be found very cheap if you're lucky. Another option in Australia is replacement shocks from a Braap Mercury 250cc for $85. I have not read much good about the JBS shocks online, but I think it would be difficult to find shocks worse...

What are we all using to lift up our Aces for more involved surgery? I have a head lift stand with the right pin size, but cannot find a rear paddock stand that is narrow enough for the Ace. I don't have the crate the bike came in. Underside of the engine doesn't look too flat either so not...

After dropping the bike due to my own inattention to some wet tram tracks, I need to re-align my front forks. Has anyone done this? I'm not sure how much to torque to apply on the various bolts on the front end of the bike, and whether I should go about replacing them all...

More loose screws! This time it's the flathead one at the pivot point of the clutch lever. It loosens every time I pull in the clutch. Can't ride for more than 30 mins without it needing a tightening. Am I missing a lock nut underneath?

Does anyone know the size of the screw which secures the speedometer to the inside of the housing? Looking at the bike front on, it's to the upper/right of the speedometer cable entry, on the underside of the housing. Not the two on the outside with the washers. The screw has fallen out at some...

    Bar-end mirrors

I'm following that guide and I have been able to hammer-in the bar end stoppers on the throttle side. However on the clutch side I can't budge it no matter how hard I hit. Any one have any tips?

Works fine when warm, and the kickstart works all the time. Melbourne, so cold, but not snowy.

Looking at the Ace as my first motorbike, power in moderation and clearly enough info online to learn how to maintain it. I've found a second-hand one that already has the OORacing mods (which I was planning to do myself) with fairly low kms so it looks like a good deal. The only issue the...
