I finally got it running! I had redone the tank but been scared to put gas in it. Finally did today... The sillcock was clogged up and I had to take it apart and boil it to get the crud out. Finished off with some carb cleaner. THEN I found the starter button is defective. But the kickstart...
Got a little more done today.
The little air filter hit the frame so I used a copper 1.5" street 90 and created an elbow.
Thinned out the seat. (I had to pull out all the staples and redo the whole thing)
Test fit the battery and wiring under the seat.
Pic of exhaust I built how it exits...
I had also pulled out some billet aluminum chunks. ;D About 2 years ago but have been hanging on to it. I figured out why yesterday. I lowered the front of the bike by raising the forks 1.25". Works great but my new clubman bars hit the forks sticking up. SO... I need to build a riser...
Do you mean too wide? Or too thick? I was thinking a bit thick as well. But it is comfortable like that. The seat is about 1.5" thick.... Maybe I should cut it in half.
Another update... Either you all think my project sucks ass or this forum is really boring... Not one comment. :-\
Yes the pics suck... I rebuilt the seat as well, and bought some clubmans.
