Agree with this , I learned to ride on a 50 cc Honda then a 125 Honda - a bigger bike might well have meant faster/nastier accidents ! To some extent a low powered bike makes you a better rider - you don't have the power to let speed go to waste ! ;) Not sure there is a "right" answer to this ...

Digging around in my garage turned up a GS500 swingingarm that seems to have a 22mm od spacer................. should have looked before ordering the new one - never mind will get the micrometer out and compare the sizes when I get it .

Me too ! At this point I'm guessing its the spacer/inner race that's the problem as more likely than the bearings themselves - of course if I had measured it at the time I would know ........... ::) Being Chinese made adds that extra bit of excitement ;)

No they were like it from new - checking the spacer in the bearing I have quite a lot of "slop" - hope mine is an undersized spacer and the replacement I have ordered will be better . If its not better with the new one I'll either use it as a pattern to turn up a replacement or maybe get it hard...

Suppose I could make/get made some replacement bushes but the needle rollers should be better really - have ordered a new spacer and will measure that up to see if its any bigger and go from there .

Not sure anyone will have a "genuine" Skyteam figure - including Skyteam ! ;) Never used a spoke torque wrench but should think 30/40 ft - lbs way too much - maybe 30-40 in - lbs ?? Using a torque wrench on a Chinese bike is not always a good plan IMO - hard to get manufacturer torque figures...

Yep , I've got the same one , not much packing in there & after one ride there was hardly any fibreglass left in it . I repacked with as much fibre as I could but it did not quieten things down that much , in the end I put a 25mm tube welded to a plate in the end to reduce the outlet diameter...

Faster than mine then ! ;) I am about 90kg but 2M tall which probably slows things down a bit as I cannot get out of the wind ! Mine has only done about 200KM - have spent more time meddling with it than riding ..... For a bike that only claims a 52mph top speed, 66mph is good going :D
