You just want it to look original...or be original? It can only be original once. If you are going to paint it...make sure it's what you like...it can always be repainted

Yeah I have thought about clubmans. Clip ons I feel are a little too low and would have me bent over more so than I want. I want them to be a little lower but not clip on low. I have seen the "european" bars as well and they are a little lower. might look into those too
