A plug will tell you a lot on how the motor is running. How old is the fuel in the tank?

Pull the plugs and see what they look at. That is where I would start.

Re: 71' Yamaha R5-Mckay Moto Works (new pics 03/16/12) Yes. I have both a tender and a ballistic charger. The only time I need something more then a tender is if I have to balance the cells. Which you shouldn't need to do unless you go below 6-7v's.

Nice bike. On a side note. Is that a Harbor Freight lift? If it is, how to you like it?
