My first try at a seat. What do you think?

I have to admit that the question of the heat did cross my mind. It gets pliable at around 300 degrees but now that the padding and covering are on and it's attached to the seat, I'm not too worried about it losing its shape. I even used a piece if the scrap to make a mount for the taillight...

CB100 - My first build. - Finally Finished!

I do have a couple of extra inches on the ends. Could I just shorten them that way so that I won't have to weld?

My first try at a seat. What do you think?

Here's the final product. I just posted these pics to my build thread. Check it out if you're interested in a link to the material I used for the seat pan. It' called Kydex and it's really easy to work with.

CB100 - My first build. - Finally Finished!

Re: CB100 - My first build. Well, thanks to finally getting some time between Christmas and New Year's, I was able to finish the build. It's not perfect, but I have to say I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr...

My first try at a seat. What do you think?

So here's a couple of pics of the finished seat. I don't want to show the whole bike yet as it's not finished but this should give you an idea of how the seat turned out. I forgot to take a picture, but since I was so sick of fiberglass, I decided to make the seat pan out of Kydex. That...

CB100 - My first build. - Finally Finished!

Re: CB100 - My first build. She's coming along okay. Honestly I haven't had a lot of time to work on her lately though. Got the tank, fender and seat back from paint and I'm really happy with them. Now I have to get the exhaust sorted and fit the new carb. Hoping to be finished by New...

My first try at a seat. What do you think?

You know what? You're right. Sorry about that. I am asking for opinions so I need to be thicker skinned about it. I wouldn't really phrase is as being but hurt though. Felt a little more like a punch in the gut. :) Anyway, I think once it's painted and everything looks more similar, it won't...

CB100 - My first build. - Finally Finished!

Re: CB100 - My first build. It's been a while but I've made a little progress. I chopped the fender and I'm almost done with the seat. Getting ready to send the tank, seat and fender off to paint. Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr Untitled by jmcelhan, on...

My first try at a seat. What do you think?

Well it's a 100. It looks like a bike tire because it practically is one. But yeah I appreciate you taking the time to let me know that I've spend a shit ton of time and effort on my first try at a seat that looks like a f**king bread box. You're a real inspiration.

My first try at a seat. What do you think?

So I've made some more progress. After additional fiberglass work, some body filler, and tons of sanding, I finally got to something I could work with. So I decided to fit the tail light. Once that was done, I shot it with a coat of primer. I still have some pinholes and scratches...

CB100 - My first build. - Finally Finished!

Re: CB100 - My first build. Got some parts back from powder coating today. So I decided to get starting putting her back together. I want to get her up and running again before sending stuff out to paint. Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr After making a total mess of the swing arm...

Rear Sprocket - Bevel In or Out

Rear Sprocket - Bevel In or Our Thanks! Felt like an idiot when I started putting it together because it was painfully obvious. Bevel in is the only way it can work because the posts have a flat edge that sits up against it.

Rear Sprocket - Bevel In or Out

Searched all over can't find the answer. Please help. Here are two pictures of my original rear sprocket from a CB100 Does the bevel face in toward the wheel or out. Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr Untitled by jmcelhan, on Flickr Forgot to take a pic when I took it off. Ugh....
