The engine has now been completely stripped down. Apart from one or two stubborn screws all went well, shit I only hope that I can get it re-assembled! Piston looks good, a broken ring, but fortunately this stayed in the groove. Barrel looks perfect, no scarring or damage there. Clutch basket...

Managed to get some work done this weekend. Pulled the motor out and gave it a bit of a clean up. Pulled the head cover off and was quite pleasantly surprised by the state of things. The oil that came out of the bike also looked to be pretty good, so hopefully this engine rebuild is going to go...
