The current tail doesn't bother me as I was planning on cutting it right where it's bent right now. My hopes are to weld a tray/etc back there and mount the battery.

I love the look of the bike so far. My first cycle was a Honda CX500 deluxe. The tank looks better on yours than it did the factory bike. I'm wondering if that new tail isn't a bit large/oversized. The straight sides don't seem to blend with the bike either. I didn't mind the KZ tail other...
