i'm having trouble removing the camshaft on the exhaust side. can't get past removing the points assembly. can someone who has done this before, please give me a tip about how to get the points assembly off so I can get the camshaft out? thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the old mechanical points assembly from a 72 cb450? i need to remove the cam shaft. have a cam follower that has fallen off. I removed the points cover. I removed the two little c-clips. Now I am looking at the base with the arms and springs, and I can't tell...
