My engine flats out around 5-6k, then picks up again. Could be carbs, but I'm quickly heading toward thinking it is CDI or Stator related. I have a blown engine in my garage, may have a good stator, of course getting to it and replacing mine is the work part I'm not looking forward to!!!

Tried "new" coils, didn't help. As a bonus, I threw my back out so work on the bike has been postponed a few weeks. Ugh. Hopefully the new covers will be on next week, and the carbs/flat spot worked out.

So, normally people are trying to get away from the ugly duckling CX500 by turning it into a "cafe racer" (I'm no exception, and my bike certainly needs improvement), but this cat took the bike in another direction entirely: http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/mcy/3206513386.html I'm not saying...

Re: CB 550 K Cafe Racer Conversion #Update# license plate holder Coming together nicely. Do you need arms for indicators or could you alter your seat and integrate them? Perhaps simple LED bars running the underside or top of plate? This will look nice coated.
