I missed that the first time, Thats too much like the twin line bike
As it sits now Its about an inch higher in the back and most likley will get about the same added when the rear tire is aired up, the front is down about an inch. It should balance out once the front tire is mounted.
Dang...
as of now I just have them slid up in the clamps, Ill do the final height when I rebuild them. I Know the progressive springs need about an inch and a half cut off. I figure if i do 2 inches that should put me where I need to be height wise, If not I can still slide them up a bit.
The swing arm is stretched 3 inches and there is a drop in the axle pivot point, at this point its in the probably shy of the 10 deg range but until everything is at the proper height and the tires are both mounted to their aluminum rims, (both 2.15s) It wont be locked down. I do realize that...
You started something that looks good, reads ok and has good bones. If youre interest is in just retelling news or stating easliy found facts that may work just fine. When it comes to putting up a site that discusses something that is as personal as a custom or handbuilt motorcycles there needs...

Re: 71 SL70 Mini Cafe
Ive spent the last couplle days working on the little things like wiring, the seat foam, and other little bits. I spent 4 hours on the electrical system to find my ignition switch is fried. I pick up another one tomorrow along with some other little things. I did get the...
Re: 71 SL70 Mini Cafe
I decided to take yesterday off from the bike. today i got my exhaust figured out. after some trial and error i ended up with a trail hopper muffler and a custom header made out of some .75 conduit. all it needs is some paint.
