Early KZ400 top end sealing kit

I have a complete top end sealing kit for the early KZ400 engines that had the top end oil leak issues. It is complete except for the head gasket. I ended up swapping in a franken-440 motor so I don't need this. I paid 142.90 shipped for it, but I'll sell it for 100 shipped in the US. It...

    liquid gasket/sealer on side covers?

I've been doing a lot of searching regarding this and cannot find a definitive answer. My service manual says to apply liquid gasket to the "portions of the gasket that contact the crankcase mating surfaces." Wouldn't that be the whole gasket? And does that mean to apply it only to the one side...

    front sprocket "stud"?

Not sure what to call it. I'm replacing the front sprocket on my KZ400. The one on there has a cylindrical "stud" pressed into a hole in the sprocket, but the new one does not. What is the purpose of this part? Thanks, Bill

    76 kz400 carbs keihin cvb36

I have a set of carbs for sale from a 76 kz400d3. They are working, but probably need synced. When I got the bike I disassembled them, cleaned everything, replaced the main jets and orings as well as the float bowl orings. The bike fired right up. I'm swapping the motor now though so I don't...

    kz400 wheel offset?

Having wheels rebuilt. I already took them apart and had the rims powdercoated. Took them to the guy who is putting them back together and he asked me if I measured the offset before I took them apart. I did not. Does anyone know what the offset is for a 76 KZ400, or is there is any offset at all?
