    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Here she is with the new clubmans. Its actual pretty comfy! I guess I could see my back gettin sore on a long ride, say over 299 to Redding... but hey, thats the price we pay to have a sick lookin bike, right?? I also got the carbs pretty well dialed in. She's super smooth now all through the...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

Got it to run on both cylinders!!! It was the petcock as it turns out, wasnt feeding both lines properly. The line to the right carb was flowing strong, but the other was just a trickle. Enough to fill the bowl after sitting a bit, but not while it was running. Now that I got that figured out...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

Just got home and started testing. Spark, good. Compression, 120 on both cylinders, checked with throttle wide open and electric starter. Points and timing checked and rechecked once more. Fuel in bowls checked and petcock checked. I'm going to top off the tank to see if the extra pressure...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

I was totally unaware of this Hondabond... good to know! It is the head cover seam, I didnt have my coffee yet haha. It still looks like a tweeker gobbed it on there to me tho, but I suppose it could have been an overzealous mechanic... I will double check for spark and compression. I kniw the...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

Well... I can't believe I didn't notice this before..... while I was putting everything back togehter I found there is NO SEAM BETWEEN THE HEAD AND CYLINDERS!! whoever worked on the bike last (the previous previous owner) smeared a nice coat of JB Weld around the entire thing!! So that prettt...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

Thanks for the replies! I reset my timing (I always turn it counterclockwise like is proper) and reset points, still only running on left cyl. I have not taken the advancer off yet, but when I do I'll be sure to grease everything up good.. I static set the time only because my strobe isn't handy...

CB360 running on one cyl...timing moved

Hey guy! Im working on my newly acquired '76 CB360 and its now only running on one cylinder. I had an issue of it bogging down under load between 3 and 5k rpm. I checked float height, cleaned and set my points, and set my timing. After firing it up again I found that it only runs on the left...

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Here's some better pics of the bike in the daylight. The longer it takes for my clubmans to get here, the more these drag bars grow on me haha Also took a pic of the slip on the PO installed. They leak really bad around the xlamp, makes it impossible to feel exhaust pressure.

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Put the new battery in last night! And guess what.. That starter that the PO said was dead? Yeah, just another battery issue! I've never been one for electric start, but boy will that make compression tests easier haha In other news, I took it for a spin around the neighborhood, and discovered...

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Pukhkan, thanks for those pics!! I can see what you mean now, doesn't look super uncomfortable without em, but definitely more comfy with em. Took my guages off, and making a nice mount for the tach to sit center and a little lower than stock. I found a little light in my stash that I might...

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Oh kool! Im 5'9" as well, thats good to know. Maybe save myself a little work now, and work on rear sets later on down the road. Thanks! Worked a little bit on cleaning up the wiring. Removing unneeded wires, cleaning connections, etc. Also got a new battery!

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Much appreciated! Im looking into that r/r now. As for legal stuff, I live in a pretty rural part of the world where as long as you aren't being a moron you wont get hassled for technical stuff. Rearsets are also high on the list. I'm planning on utilizing the passenger foot pegs and making...

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Thanks for the replies!! I just picked up a battery for it tonight, so we'll see how it does tomorrow after it's all charged and ready to go. Bars and other parts should be in tomorrow or Saturday. Stay tuned!

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

I also found out that the speedo doesn't work at all. Im tied between fixing it, and ditching it (and the N/turn/highbeam indicators) in favor of having only a tach mounted in the middle... I'll have to mull it over a bit.

    CB360 project Daily Commuter!!!

Just picked this lil ditty up last weekend. 1976 CB360. The PO couldn't get it to start (which is why it was cheap)... turns out it was just a dead battery! A few hours on the charger, and it started with 2 or 3 kicks. So for I've just set the points/timing, checked valve lash, oil change...

    New guy from Cali!!

Hello! I've been lurking on here off and on for some time. I found the site when I got my first bike back in High School, a '71 Honda CB450 DOHC twin. I still have that bike but hadn't touched it in years (long story short it was stolen from me, they wrecked it, and I got it back from the scrap...
