Can you turn a brass knob? That would work really well with this build. PM me... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I did this and resolved the issue. I was way too close and redesigned the brackets... I spent all day installing the motor and mocking things up/checking clearances. My dad is in town and also helped wire the bike (as in figure out what-goes-to-what). Special thanks to Sparck Moto; you made...

Unrelated to recent posts, but my knob was press-fit and HAD to be cut off. Sometimes you have to get out the tools of destruction. I'll plan to figure out how to source / commission a machined brass knob. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Width is 5.25", which I think is more than sufficient. I still have a little trepidation about my travel clearance with my new rear shocks though. They're 1/2" longer than stock (progressive 412 series). They "should" be fine, given that I weigh nothing, but according to install instructions...

I've mocked up the controls and prototyped custom badges for the tank. (The final badges will be laser-cut brass and stainless steel). I also spray bombed the tank so I can visualize the finished product. I'm liking the results... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Yep - very rusty. I plan to send the tank out for cleaning / resealing after all of the metal work is done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thanks! I don't know what I would do with my time if I didn't have "the garage", though sometimes I don't get as much done as I should, having a couch and TV in here[emoji42] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Got it - that's the order in which I installed them. Looking forward to getting my new harness from you in the coming weeks BTW. Thanks! - Mike Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thanks! I'm not sure now, but can dig through receipts if you're interested (I didn't order it from any of my regular sources for parts). It was a generic fender that I cut / modified. Essentially a piece of rolled steel with the right diameter. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I finally have my piston rings and have a few questions for anyone that might be able to help: I'm having trouble distinguishing which ring goes where / orientation. I think my order, from top to bottom is this: I did find this on Honda twins: "The top ring is nearly symetrical, but it does...

New problem: I'm disassembling my gauges to clean them up and replace the faces. My issue is that I can't seem to get the trip-meter reset knob off. I read that it's reverse threaded, but turning in either direction hasn't yielded any results. There is no set-screw. Is it press-fit? Sent from...

Either way, I have to relocate the petcock to clear the motor when using the 200 tank, so I had planned to use a 360 petcock. I think mounting will be easier with the 200 petcock though, so that's how I'll proceed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A stock 360 petcock needs an externally threaded bung for attachment. I need to move the petcock toward the back of the bike to clear the head when using a 200 tank. Suggestions are welcome. Welding in a new bung shouldn't be a problem (I hope). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
