    Brodie's electric board track bike

So cool, love this. My friend's 12 year old son is really interested in engines and the like so me and another friend are going to build with him his choice of death machine this summer, either a go kart or motorized bicycle. I'm on engine duty, my mate's going to be fabbing the go kart frame...

KLR You Experienced? I am now...

With the CB giving me fits and the GL's idle refusing steadfastly to resemble anything normal, I needed a garage win. Long disliked the front brake feel and suspected (and confirmed) a warped brake rotor. Not an easy thing to come by but finally tracked one down in Denmark, ponied over an...

    Project CB690 (KTM 690 engine in a CB550f frame)

Savage sounds about right. What little I know of KTM's that's as good a description as any. My mate's 950sm is an absolute reprobate when cajoled, and it doesn't take much cajoling that's for sure. There's a guy local to me who's an old KLR guy and keeps eyeballing my C model - he just bought...

    Project CB690 (KTM 690 engine in a CB550f frame)

I can only imagine what this bike must be like to ride. KTM engines are awesome so this must be an absolute blast when you give it the beans

    1976 Gold Wing Swamp Thing

Also have some time on my hands so teaching a friend's young son what I know about internal combustion engines by taking apart some old lawn strimmers. He wants to get into car restoration so I gently/not-very-gently-at-all suggested to his old man to nurture that vibe and get him some old...

    1976 Gold Wing Swamp Thing

Think I've narrowed the problem on the CB down to a weird heat-related vacuum leak. DHL are dicking around with parts that were supposed to be here yesterday, so all bets are off as to when I can have another crack at getting the thing roadworthy. No worries, giving me some time to get stuck...

    1976 Gold Wing Swamp Thing

The CB has been one step forward one step back for the last month trying to figure out what the fuck is wrong. So yeah, progress on the GL feels good man

    1976 Gold Wing Swamp Thing

Updates. Been trying to get the shittily running CB back in good shape so the GL has taken a bit of a back seat. Waiting on parts however has meant I can turn my attentions back to this old girl. With the water pump rebuilt and timing belts changed, I flushed out the engine's cooling system...

    $650 1980 Honda 750 Super Sport

If you don't have to pull the carbs, that would admirably demonstrate the theory that everything in the universe is in balance - for every positive there is a negative, for every headache there's a rainbow etc. I've had to pull the carbs out of my '82 Super Sport going on for 478 times chasing...

    1983 Honda 750 Nighthawk

Whenever I've attached exhaust nuts I've always pretty much whaled on the them - you don't want to break anything but the copper gaskets are designed to compress under torque and make a good seal. If they're not compressed, you'll get a leak or a lost nut. Happened to me on an old bike...
