60mph? My mother has an '83 Suzuki GN125 that I've had up to 75. I'd imagine a 200 could do better.

I've heard that some cast wheels are porous as stated. I've also read that the lip of the rim makes a big difference too. It's somehow different on rims designed for tubeless vs tubed?

I replaced both tires on the GS450, myself, and added tubes to them. Mine has the wire wheels though rather than cast. I did a decent amount of research on the topic and from what I found the general recommendation was to use tubes. As for installing the tires yourself, its very doable...
