    1975 CB400F Project "Replacement Girlfriend"

You're running out of fuel. Is petcock flowing okay, not blocked? Do you have an airbox or are you running pods. If pods you'll need a bigger mainjet for sure, up one or two sizes to start with. You need to get main dialed in first before adjusting the other parts of carb performance or you will...

When you have the carbs off the bike, take each float bowl off and fill each one with gas almost to the top. If a bowl starts leaking out the overflow then the brass overflow tube is cracked and you either need another bowl or replace the brass tube ( I think there was a post on the the SOHC 4...

    Winter project CB550

Heh,heh, yep you tend to spend way more than budget for. I think the look will be worth it though. If you're trying to keep the traditional or classic cafe look but just tweaking it a bit with modern components, then it's worth the effort.

Really smart design, definitely put me down for one. I can't wait to see your bike finished, will be one cool looking beast!

    Winter project CB550

Very nice finish, am interested as I said before, in a hub when you're ready to sell. The hubs are designed to take brgs from a GSXR, is that correct?

Rocky Mtn high build: '74 CB350F

Modify the snot out of the motor now that it's apart. Big cam, big pistons, bore carbs. Create a MONSTER! Not being silly, it's what I want to do to mine once I get to it that is. What a little sleeper it could be. I've seen 400F's moded and they are missles. I think a 500cc big bore would be...

vintage race CB350 - last 10% is the hardest

Re: della corsa CB350 Really enjoying your build, will be a fun race bike as the engines, even breathed on ones, are quite reliable and they handle really well with essentially little frame work. Welding the seams as you did is the best solution. The 35mm forks will stabilize the front end...

    "Dago" Resurrecting a 350F gently

Re: "Dago Roller" Resurrecting a 350F gently I did that on my Suzuki X6 Roadracer with a T500 front brake. I also drilled big holes in the thing and it cracked during "hard" use on the race track. I think you have to be careful how much strength you take from the hub, they get hot and distort a...

    "Drewski's h1a/750"

Re: A Drewski/Seaglider Production Careful with the CB750 slurs, I'm now motivated to get the CR project moving just to bitch slap you Kawi hotheads....er...might have a few issues with weight, handling etc. I think your idea of laying down the dampers is a really cool move, should compensate...

    1972 CB350 Cafe build

Nice find! I could use the carb set for my 350F project which has none. Let me know if you'd like to sell em. Following your build man, will be a cool beast once finished as your spending quality time on the details. I'd chop that front fender with a vengeance!!

CB Engine Swap. Can it be done.

Engine drops right in, no issues. Cyl is 5mm taller on 650 so using 500 exh might be a tight fit and poor exh seal as 650 head has larger exhaust ports. Spacing is the same though. As you have an 81 650 it probably has CV carbs which may mean you need to use the complete throttle assembly and...

    Cb350f part out

I"m interested in the tank , have only engine and frame from CB350F so will make a cafe racer for sure. The rust on outside near seam looks a bit rough but no leaks ??

    Squirley's Kawi H1 build thread

Considering your top notch fabricating and machining skills why not mount the lever to the top triple, sort of Mick Doohan style as he did with rear brake. You could machine a cool billet post to affix to the triple and the lever would mount to it just like it did on the handlebar.

    Squirley's Kawi H1 build thread

Great piece on KR's Indy Miler. I got to see him ride the reproduction in 2009 at Indy, he really hit it hard and ran it to the wall. At one point the crowd went silent when he ran it in so fast and deep that it looked like game over. His solution was to open the throttle and just ride it out...

    Squirley's Kawi H1 build thread

Spectacular build!! Would be interested in the specs of your new geometry with mono shock and modern front forks. It looks dead on right to the eye, much like a modern 600 sport bike. Two strokes really seem to respond to a clean minimalist build look but yours is truly amazing. Engine wise, are...
