you'd be better off with a metric bearing dual disc hub from a Harley Davidson if you're trying to do spoked wheels.....as they would still be 40-spoke and use much closer to correct bearing size for an USD forkset's axle. The fzr1000 forks and triples don't have all that bad of geometry all...

are you using the entire USD front end, wheel and all? or are you looking to use the forks and adapt your stock wheel?

650 pistons won't work in a 500/550. Your best bet for an overbore hit is from ebay seller cruzinimage, he sells a 605cc big bore kit for 500/550. I've had personal experience with it and it's a great kit....the engine I put it in really screams for an otherwise pretty stock 550.

as title states, restoration project original tank bottom is soft and loaded with pinholes. Need something I can work with to restore/repaint. small dents, scratches, bad paint OK....don't need badges, petcocks, or cap either. Let me know if ya got one!

before he ships it back, have him add cross-over bungs.....otherwise you're only going to use half the tank if that with the in-tank pump.
