Some bikes already suck oil vapor through the airbox :)...way way back we use to run a tablespoon of castor oil in the fuel, this was for the smell no increase in power!...it did cause issues with the injected bikes...only time we saw any increase in performance was when we went to the local...
see if these help yell if you want specific measurements...
The 2 pics of the rear tank mount, shortest measurement is the center of the rubber mounts, longest is the back of the head stock to rear tank mount....
You have done basically everything.....you should have spark:) Unless you burning out electronics when its connected then your down to the wiring harness...If it was me Id rewire the whole ignition circuit bypassing switch's and the main harness, connect directly to a battery...then if no spark...
Hi
From the M-unit manual..
"Kill switch The running engine can be stopped in three different ways: a) engine start button double click Pressing the button again after engine stop will crank and start the engine in normal way. b) Connecting a separate kill switch or push button at the "config"...
PS wondering if teh kill fuction on teh M-unit is expecting a momentary button input? as most of the custom switch blocks for these units are momentary
You may have to either run a relay or more simple re-solder the wires on the kill switch...most hondas are kill switched, break run, make kill as they earth out the coils/cdi unit that prob wont work :)
re read your posts.... Pretty much ignore the above....move along nothing to see here :)
you shouldn't need to swap the head...just come up with a suitable manifold to suit, as its going into a totally different frame you may have plenty of room to play with.....

The twin carbs on a single are a pain when they get old you end up chasing your tail and twice the issues...For some reason in the 80's honda started with 2 carbs on their singles and in later years went to a single....with the 250's you pretty much buy the later single inlet mainfold and bung...
There are a few places that can re magnetize em google prob the way to go, if there are magnets bonded to the flywheel these can be replaced....prob easiest to find a nos unit or better 2nd hand replacement....But first you need to sort out if thats the issue :D ...It tends to be heat that ends...
Have you tried removing the plug and checking the spark with the bike in high gear and spin the rear wheel ?
sometimes the magnetic field is weak and the kick starter cant spin her fast enough to throw a spark..push starting can sometimes work....
also have a look ere maybe there is something...
